I received an ARC [Advanced Reader’s Copy] [PDF.file] of this book from the publisher through a giveaway on LibraryThing, and the following is my honest opinion.

In trying to be a good Christian woman, as the title of my Christian blog reads, I’ve learned that our well-being can’t be truly fulfilled by simply reading scripture. We also need to possess some sustenance that comes from reading inspiring, optimistic stories, affirmations in addition to scripture.

It can be awe-inspiring when and if we’re able to change each day into one that is fraught with confidence and contentment. And with us being Christians, faith.

This will make a difference in our lives for today for the future, allowing us to go after and obtain our aspirations, ambitions and enjoy existing each day happily.

In trying to be a good Christian woman, I can recognize Ms. Dent’s desire to write this book. I appreciate her desire to have her reader’s lives refreshed, renewed, and, more importantly, their souls nourished, which is why I’ve given her 5 STARS for her endeavor here.

I received a PDF.file for this book from the author through a giveaway she had on LibraryThing, and the following is my honest opinion.

Despite being able to have some in-depth heartfelt discussions with one's family, aren't there times when the subject is something you rather not discuss with the rest of your family? A subject matter that might be too personal for you to share with them, a subject matter where you being a family member might influence how they'd interact with you and what they'd say to you. Of course, there would be times like these.

When situations like these happen to arise, the question that always comes up is, who can you now turn to for assistance? There is a certain extraordinary comradeship that gets formed between Christian women that go beyond being just girlfriends; there's a robust and vibrant sisterhood.

In this book, the author, Angie Dent, once again emphasizes the might and splendor of Christian women with the brief, inspiring stories fraught with conviction and expectations that the book contains. Each of her stories possesses the tendency of reminding readers of stories they'd be able to relate to in their own lives.

The sisterhood that gets formed between Christian girlfriends allows for their recognition of their support of each other. Support where there is also a profound comprehension of what their other girlfriends may be suffering through in their lives at the same time.

The book is fraught with emotions, from smiling and laughing to being deeply moved, with its uplifting/inspiring stories involving tenderness, relatives, and companionship, which is why, with all things considered, I've given Ms. Dent, 5 STARS for her endeavor here.

If you’ve ever been in doubt of whether or not the Lord is there for you in your time of need, this inspirational, empowering collection of stories [testimonies] will show you that he is, keeping His covenant with His children.

LEVITICUS 26:9 [NKJV] states:
“‘For I will look on you favorably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you.”

The story which had resonated with me the most had been BREAKTHROUGH, for I too had problems finding a job for three years after graduating college. It’s not that I hadn’t worked at all, I never had been able to get a job which would be permanent, everything I had gotten had always been for a short temporary period of time. I’d been blessed that I had been able to live with my parents. After three years, my prayers finally got answered and I had gotten a position working as a civil servant of New York City with a starting date right on the first working day of the new year.

The interesting thing is that as I began my third week on the job, I received a phone call from the chairman of the mathematics department at my high school where I did service as a student aide, offering me a position there as a paraprofessional, which I respectfully had to turn down. Three days later I had received a phone call from a company which had interviewed me for a position six months ago. My prayers as you can see truly got answered as I had received a bountiful amount of offers.

I read this book in a single sitting so I could review it. However, for readers to reap the full benefits of what this book by Angie Dent has to offer, it is best to relax and read a single story each day, meditate on what has just been read. Once this has been done, readers can then move on to the specially elected scriptures for each story and then reflect on them as they related to the story which has just been read.

For wanting to show her readers that the Lord has always been there and will always be there for them, as a somewhat voracious reviewer of Christian books, I’ve given Ms. Dent 5 STARS she deserves.

I read this book via an Amazon download.

Growing up, many of us as a young child can remember, and should still remember the classic Disney cartoon Cinderella, especially the song A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.

A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep
In dreams you will lose your heartache
Whatever you wish for, you keep

Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true…

…No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true

As adults, I believe, after reading this book by Angie Dent, that many of us will now see how profound the words of this song actually are when you bring the Bible and the Lord into the picture.

To begin with we need to remember that a declaration isn’t merely a group of words, it’s a group of words which are uttered aloud by believers of the Lord so that His words can become true to them, by putting themselves into their declarations.

What the author, Angie Dent, has done here in her book is to give her readers 28 powerful declarations coupled with stimulating anecdotes designed to be read one each day in order to empower them to have their dreams come true.

We need to look Isaiah 41:10 [ESV] “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”; as well as Isaiah 41:13 “For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who” say to you, "Fear not, I am the one who helps you." To see the Lord’s commitment to those who believes in Him.

Sometimes when individuals don’t see what they want when they want it, they need to remember Romans 8:25 [ESV] “But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”

For having given her readers a possible pathway to achieve their dreams, I’ve given Ms. Dent 5 STARS for her endeavor here.

I read this book via an Amazon KINDLE Unlimited download.

Don’t you love it when you can just sit down and have a good time with the rest of your family. Isn’t this feeling is even better when you’re discussing your faith, The Bible and its scriptures, and The Lord with them.

Yet, aren’t there times when the subject is something you rather not discuss with the rest of your family? Could the reason be that you occasionally feel like there would be missing in discussing these subject matters with them, like a certain understanding which they wouldn’t seem to get? Who can you turn to when this happens? Have you ever consider having these types of discussions with your Christian Girlfriends?

Your Christian Girlfriends all share the same kind of forte and magnificence you possess. And some of them might have the same kind inspirational stories they’ve experienced you might have as well; which might also be similar to the ones contained in this book. The one element which binds all these stories together is embedded in a single thing, which is faith in The Lord.

When you really sit down and look at all the discussions you might have shared with your Christian Girlfriends, and given how deep these discussions might have gotten, you come to the realization of what Sister Sledge sings in her song, that “WE ARE FAMILY.”

…Ev'ryone can see we're together
As we walk on by
(Fly!) and we fly just like birds of a feather
I won't tell no lie
(All!) all of the people around us they say
Can they be that close
Just let me state for the record
We're giving love in a family dose [Chorus 2x]

Living life is fun and we've just begun
To get our share of the world's delights
(High!) high hopes we have for the future
And our goal's in sight
(We!) no we don't get depressed
Here's what we call our golden rule
Have faith in you and the things you do
You won't go wrong
This is our family jewel

And taking these words we should see how the author, Angie Dent, came to writing her book for women of ALL, regardless of their ages. We’ve got to love these inspirational journeys of faith which deal with actual people and their fictionalized real-life happenings with she has decided to include in this book, which is why I CAN’T DENY her the 5 STARS she’s garnered from this rather voracious Book Reviewer, and now aspiring reviewer of Christian Books.

Poetry is a balm to the soul. It seeks to express emotions and thoughts in a tight formation using as few words as possible. Covenant Keeper did not disappoint. Poems rich and tantalizing filled the pages. Poems of faith, fruits of the Spirit, and God’s unending grace. Mercy and servanthood coursed through several poems, delightful words that may cause the reader to stop and reflect. Many poems caused me to sit back and take a close look at who I am and who I truly want to be. Readers get a glimpse of real-life situations and witness God’s finger-tapping confirmation over them. We are asked to visit the sick, the hopeless, and see God’s people pray in boldness over them. What a joy and blessing to be captivated by every poem, reading and rereading them over and over again, gaining more wisdom and delight each time. A beautiful book of hope. Covenant Keeper should be on everyone’s list of books to read. A great gift to give others to lift them up on their faith walk.
