FAR too short! Great setup and a dash of angsty insecurity with a plump and unconventional heroine and dashing hero. I loved the premise and the characters but it was over in the blink of an eye! Still, I was thrilled to find a chubby historical heroine, I thought I’d read them all. (3.5 stars)

The King of Threadneedle Street (A Rougemont Novel)… par Moriah Densley

This was pretty good. I found the language a bit too flowery in the opening pages, but either that cooled off or I got used to it. The story was well-paced and spanned several years, which was nice for a change (too many romances, IMO, happen in a compressed time frame).

The big downside, though, was the hero/MMC seemed like he had serious psychological issues, to the point where he lost his appeal and I wound up wishing she'd gone for the nice guy rival. Oh well.

Two scarred souls come together to find happiness, love and peace. While the sensual scenes are passionate, it is not all about the sex,but about the lives and souls of Lady Anne, and Lord Devan. Well done, indeed!! Received for an honest review from the author.
