Ben Stein's writing is very interesting and even humorous. As I read this book I realized he wrote about things that I myself have been frustrated about with this country as of late. It was very enlightening.

Oftentimes personal finance books just read as if the authors just like to hear themselves talk. While these authors are very proud of their system, they actually back it up with emperical evidence (beyond "back-testing"), which is better than 90% of people out there with just anecdotal evidence. I also like Stein's bluntness as the principles stay with you ("If it isn't hurting, you probably arent saving enough") because saving for retirement is not a "one and done" but a daily discipline.

Stein and DeMuth take the reader through life, financially speaking. Starting in your 20s to well into retirement, this book is appropriate and timely to any reader, regardless of age. I highly recommend this book-especially with the current state of our nation's economy.

I like ben stein, but why is everything in politics about RAGE? worth the read - I heard ben needs the money.
