I won this in a GOODREADS giveaway -- Saving Charlotte: A Mother and the Power of Intuition by Pia de Jong -- oh, so sad... this was a memoir that touched my heart and made me cry. a good read.

Despite the title, the book was not about saving Charlotte or the power of intuition but it was about a mother and how she copes with a possibly terminally ill child for the first year of the child's life. It speaks to any woman who is a mother and has gotten up in the middle of the night to watch her baby breathe.

Het verhaal leest vlot. Ik was benieuwd hoe het met die vreselijk extreme vader zou aflopen. Het eind vond ik een anticlimax. Erg jammer, want het verhaal had echt potentie.
