Like her earlier book Frontier Tales of Tennessee these are short essays about some interesting people and events with a connection to Tennessee. More Tales of Tennessee is an interesting assortment of stories but I think the first book was better. I found the one about Neill S. Brown who was the representative of the U.S. government to the court of the Czar in 1850 to be interesting for his views on Russia's global ambitions. Apparently, the Russian government of that time wanted to control the world, not just their corner of it.… (plus d'informations)
