My Thoughts:
Historically Yoga was more than just a physical exercise method as it is now propagated; it was a way of life. In general, everyone has dedicated themselves to a lifestyle and culture that surpassed meditation techniques and included healthy eating habits, bathing habits, social interaction, and work. But the fundamental importance of life and its unison with soul is often possible only through the yoga illustrations in everyone's life.

As the pages run, one can see how Author Dr Rima Das has created a perfect bridge between the theoretical approach and illustrative approach of various Yoga asanas and their importance that contributes to a human heart's health. Every asana is explained in an articulated manner, and she has very well brought before to her readers that preventative and therapeutic benefits. It has been shown to offer both physical and mental benefits to the body and the mind.

It is also to be noted that a significant and detailed analysis of the very important Pranayama in depth is also discussed in the book.

Being an ardent reader, I have been reading many books on Yoga and practising ( to be precise very few asanas like Vajrasana, Tadasana and my favourite Shavasana )
for a considerable amount of time. I have indulged myself in great works of BKS Iyengar, Baba Ramdev and Manthena Satyanarayana ( of Andhra Pradesh ). I also often took my parents' help to understand certain aspects as they practise regularly some critical asanas. After going through this book, I can definitely say this I will help my parents make understand the relationship between Yoga and Cardiac health as they need it now.

Overall, this book by Dr Rima Das has given a greater insight into the relationship between Yoga and the Cardiac or the Heart's health.

Final Verdict
A well-researched and presented book about practising Yoga and its role in one's health
