This is purely a glossary of slang, organized by years. Some sidebars group slang by topic. Although the book was interesting, I was disappointed that definitions were purely denotative and descriptive, and little to no etymological data was given.

Highly interesting dictionary. Divided into sections on Alcohol; Gambling; Drugs; Horse Racing; Sex; Deadly Sins and Also-Rans; Crime; and The Wages of Sin. Not quite how i would arange it and not everything i was expecting it to be--but don't ask me what that was--but interesting none the less.
