Pretty much just porn with slave/master and some light BDSM thrown in. I liked Hamilton and Alec both although sometimes Alec was clueless. This was a great, fun and hot read for a relaxing afternoon. I doubt the rest of the series will be much different other than the names but this one was a worthwhile diversion.

I need a break from reading this and will pick it up again in a few days. My thoughts so far- I love reading PWP and BDSM but the sex is practically non-stop and it would have been nice if there were more breaks with some character development. So far the main characters seem two dimensional and I can't figure out how they 'fell in love.' I don't get any idea what it is about Alec or Hamilton that makes them loveable or love each other. The one thing I get is that Hamilton seems incredibly self-centered. Also, I don't remember the pair having a discussion about using a safe word or gesture. Even if they decided not to use one, it would have been a good idea at least to bring up the topic in the story. I actually like some of the side characters more because even though they are seen less often, how they are written gives me a better picture of who they are. I'm referring to Dicky, Tom and Sebastian. Oh, and 'your' does not equal 'you're.' I'm almost ready to tear my eyeballs out because of the same repetitive mistake. Please fix!

Not my cup of tea. It hurts to drop a book, but I don't think I can handle this one.

Loved it, but too short. 3.5 stars.

Sweetness :)

Owen is very immature for his mid-to-late forties, but somehow it's OK, with him coming out of a certain D/S relationship that lasted for almost half of his life.

Normally this set-up wouldn't work for me, but - surprise! - 4 stars :)

As one of the group who worked on editing and proofing these stories and helped put the anthologies together I might be considered biased, but these anthologies are definitely worthy of the 5 star rating.

Too short to really immerse and enjoy.

Definitly a very cute story that feels more like a fairy tale (after the opening scene, which is awful). An interesting achievement since it is about a D/s relationship without involving BDSM. I liked that because it put the focus on the developing trust and love between Owen (the older sub) and Mitchell (the younger Master). That in itself is a fairly unusual variation on the theme and was a nice twist.

If you like the dynamics of Dominance and submission but don't want the BDSM that usually goes with it, if you're looking for a cute story with a happy ending, and if a character in search of his emotional balance interests you, this story may be for you.

This book was slow in starting for me, and I don't mean the sex. It got better for me towards the end, but then Alec went and forgave Tom and Hamilton too easily. The rest of my hang ups about this book are personal. Things happened pretty quickly between Alec and Hamilton, and they said I love you but then discussed that they would continue to sleep around. Polyamorous stories are very hard for me because while I understand it's fiction, I can't always remove myself from the equation. Like I can't separate my feelings and how I think the characters should feel and it doesn't matter that I'm not ok with these things, it really only matters that the characters are ok with them. All of that being said... I will finish this series. I do want to know what happens with all of these characters, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Alec and Hamilton get their crap together. I'm also hoping they keep Sebastian (love him!).

very comforting story of someone so lost finding just what he needs.

Ok, so I don't really get the D/S thing and I think the way it works in this book is quite unrealistic, but . . . this was a really sweet story and the sex was fine, very light D/S, not disturbing at all. Well, except for the part where the S is much older and acts like a child, almost borderline retarded at points--that was a little off for me--but I like the role reversal, too, with the young man being the Dom. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't know what that says about me...

(I had to add a freakin'' shelf for this kind of thing. Who knew I would read more than one BDSM story? You learn all sorts of things about yourself in your middle age, although I still don't get the whole pain thing. If the gods wanted us to experience pain, they wouldn't have invented illegal drugs.)
