Courte biographie
I grew up in Portland, OR and have spent most of my life here. In 2002, my parents divorced and that was a huge defining event in my childhood. Shortly after that, and in the midst of changing schools, I began to write and I haven't stopped since.

I studied screenwriting, playwriting, and TV writing at NYU, with a heavy emphasis on dramatic structure. After graduating, some of my scripts placed in international contests including Scriptapalooza and Fresh Voices. In 2019, I published my first two novels, The Time Twins (April 16) and Sand and Smoke (October 17).

Some of my favorite books when I was a kid included Eragon, the Harry Potter series, and DJ MacHale's Pendragon series.

I enjoyed reading Sand and Smoke. It was a pleasurable read. I particularly liked how Carl slowly wove together three different stories to intersect and combine in the end. Also, it is evident that he plans to write at least one sequel, with the loose ends you left untied....It is appropriate for YA readers

I started reading this book this week and so far so good. It is not the genre I would usually read but it’s really easy to engage with and the characters are likeable!

Update: I finished this book. It was a good book, entertaining and I liked the way the stories for each character were told. At first, the stories were a bit confusing as each story is told from a different place and character, but it made sense at the end. It is a good book overall, but not my favourite. I would recommend it so fantasy lovers that are tired of always reading the same storylines. I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️ because it can be a bit confusing and slow at times.… (plus d'informations)
