I found Double Walker confusing. The story opened with Cully and Gemma who are expecting their first child and are enjoying their last few months as a small family. The couple decides to take one final vacation before the baby arrives and travel to the Scottish Highlands where a bizarre string of murders is occurring. What I found confusing was the plethora of Scottish fairy tales that were discussed by the characters. It was hard to tell what was myth and what was really happening. The residents of the island they were on spoke alot about the fairies taking babies away so that they can replace themselves as the baby. After I read a few reviews of the comic, I understood it better and re-read the book. It then made sense.

My feeling for the book are mixed. Once I understood what was happening I liked it but the fact that I had to go online to figure out the plot is a big negative for me. It is a horror, fantasy and much combination that is not what I typically read. However, I know that many comic fans are going to love this genre.
