It’s a cute read. And relaxing; read it during a pedicure so i wouldn’t even say it’s that long. The story travels from this land and land, so prepare yourself for a little bit of a quest-based fantasy book. There were some parts, some nuggets from the author that Conn dropped in for humor. The NotAunt or Brother Sister. My go to isn’t usually fantasy but for a not fan like myself it held my attention and was cute. Well done.

The plot was an interesting concept, but it was not an easy book to get into. There were a lot of characters to keep track of, and the subplot of the detective’s writing hobby at times was more thought out than the actual plot. I felt the ending was a bit anticlimactic except for the story the detective finished. I’d still be curious to see other work by this author, just to see if it was a matter of writing style, or the fact of him being a British author to this Yankee.

Again we see the horrific effects of child abuse and paedophile rings and this is something that has to be brought to the attention of the general public. I still feel uneasy about the relationship between the twins; it doesn't seem quite natural for brother and sister no matter how close they are. All in all it is a good read as long as you understand, before you open the book, the horror it deals with.… (plus d'informations)

I thought this was a great book. That it is based on real experiences is horrifying. Child abuse is always hard to read about and the fact that it could be happening to children in the street where you live is scary. We all know about paedophile rings but tend to believe they are used by celebrities and people far removed from our own ordinary lives. This books tells us we are wrong; the friendly, helpful man next door is just as likely to be involved as any drug addicted pop star. It brings home to us the dreadful cost to the children who are preyed upon. I would have given 5 stars but the (consenting adult) sex scenes were a bit too detailed for me. I will read the next book in the series.… (plus d'informations)
