I have over fifteen years' experience in exhibitions (content development, administration and delivery) and am an expert in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British art. I specialise in the history of landscape and watercolour practice, and although I have extensive knowledge of the work of JMW Turner, John Constable, and William Blake, I am particularly interested in artists who have been marginalised from the mainstream canon.

Good update of the late works and life of Turner with good expert articles and catalogue of exhibition in Tate (2014); Getty (2015); Young Fine Arts Museum San Francisco (2015). Best short update about opinions and research: Sam Smiles, Turner: In and Out of Time. 'The construction fo a Modernist lineage for Turner, based on his last works, is therefore unwise and unhelpful.' Of course that is correct although one cannot escape comparing it with some impressionists, esp. Monet studies of different lightscapes at different (times of the) day.
