This was a delightfully creepy, skin-crawling read, with characters you won't soon forget. I don't even know where to start with this one, I enjoyed it so much. One thing that really struck me was just how real the characters felt. I don't just mean I could meet them walking around the streets of NY. There was something more to them, like I was peeking into the lives of real people, or watching a based-on-a-true-story movie unfold in front of me. The story is interesting, and I love the way the problem of gentrification is presented - in a way that teens or anyone unfamiliar with it can understand. The story itself had me caught up from the start, and once things started to get spooky, well...I couldn't put it down for a moment.
