How come I read it? Hey, I read most anything I could--even what was on cereal boxes,

Uncle Frank's Mary, by Clementia [Sister Mary Edward Feehan] (read fall of 1939) On page 238 of The Guide to Catholic Literature 1888-1940 this book is described as the first of the Mary Selwyn series of stories for girls. "Deals with the young heroine's devotion to Our Lady. Plenty of incident and variety."

38. The Selwyns in Dixie by Clementia [Sister Mary Edward Feehan] (read in 1939) This is the first of the Mary Selwyn books "for girls" which I read since I could not find anything better to read. Clementia is the pen name of Sister Mary Edwardine, R.S.M. who was born Agnes M Feehan in St. Louis.
