Eleven Things I Promised par Catherine Clark

A great contemporary YA novel about a young woman in high school who goes on a bike tour to honor her injured best friend. Just enough romance to satisfy without overwhelming what this book is really about: the meaning of loyalty, discovering who you are, and learning to be a little more comfortable in your own skin. Loved the plot twists. And, of course, the list!

So Inn Love par Catherine Clark

This was a cute beachy read. It was funny, romantic, and quick. I enjoyed it a lot, there was not a single character that really got on my nerves. Josh and Hayden were great guys. Liza and Claire were awesome. Mr. Knight and the writer were entertaining at the moments they needed to be. The ending was cute and funny, I recommend this book.

I want my YA characters to sound like young adults, not middle-graders.

IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

This girl has no personality. Mental age around 10 or something.

Even in Prologue this reads like an unfinished unrevised draft.

What even?

SAY "NO!" TO MENTAL TORTURE
ABANDON TERRIBLE BOOK

FINAL VERDICT : AVOID LIKE PLAGUE
