{My thoughts} – Tag, Skyla and Blaze get to go on an all new adventure together. In this book they are in search of the Cloud Kingdom. They are under the impression that if they can find the portal that will lead them there, that they will be able to find Blaze’s family.

They do manage to find the portal and they do manage to get into the Cloud Kingdom. However, they aren’t able to find any sign of life. They walk around exploring for hours and don’t encounter anything that is living. Eventually, they get really thirsty and stop at a stream. Before they are able to get a drink they are warned to stop. They finally meet some living creatures and they are called Cloudlings. The Cloudlings tell them the water isn’t safe and then one of them leads them away and near where they think other firehawks might be.

Once they reach that area they part ways and head towards a waterfall. From there Blaze is taken and Skyla and Tag need to find a way to rescue him. Are they able to reach their friend before something bad happens? Are they able to find other firehawks? There are so many things happening in this book, hopefully once you read it you will have the answers to many or at least some of your questions.

{My thoughts} – Tag, Skyla and Blaze are up against their biggest battle with Thorn yet. Thorn is close to defeating them and taking over all of Perdia! It is up to the three friends and all the friends they have made on their journeys to put the Ember Stone back together in order to help them in defeating Thorn.

Will they be able to defeat him? Is this a battle they can win? Do they have enough friends to help them? I don’t know, only time will tell. In the meantime they are doing everything they can in order to help keep Thorn, his spies and the Shadow at bay.

I really enjoy how the text blends so nicely together in these adventure books. They are so much fun to read and are quick paced. They give you plenty of time to get to know the characters and their many personalities. This is by far one of my favorite beginner reader series. It is really high up there on list along with Owl Diaries! Although that one is by a different author! I look forward to reading more books from this author and illustrator in the very near future.… (plus d'informations)

{My thoughts} – Tag, Skyla and Blaze are still on their quest to complete the Ember Stone. They have managed to find nearly all the missing pieces and have gotten them added back to the first Ember Stone piece that they had started with. In this book they are going to go in search of the last piece and they have to travel through the Shadowlands which is occupied by mostly all of Thorn’s spies. Will they be able to make it through the Shadowlands? Will they be able to find the last piece of the Ember Stone? Will they be able to help save Perodia from Thorn and his followers?

There are so many things I love about this book series. I love how vibrant the cover art is. I love how nearly ever page has and illustration of some sort that helps to further engage the reader into the story. I like that the chapters are short so that it helps children to see that they are making progress while reading the books. I like that the stories are quick paced and help to hold a child’s interest. I have been reading these books to my two year old daughter since I have been getting them. She really seems to enjoy being read these older books. I think that the illustrations on the pages help to hold her attention while I am reading to her. That in she has a natural love for being read to at this point in her life.

This book and the series are incredible beginner reader books. I highly recommend them for any child’s library. I also think that teachers could benefit from having this series in their classroom library. It’s a fun series and I look forward to reading the next book in it in the very near future.… (plus d'informations)

{My thoughts} – Tag, SKyla and Blaze are on another adventure. They are off to get all the pieces of the ember stone so that they can get it put back together as quickly as possible. They need the stone in one piece so that they can use it to attempt to defeat Thorne. They are not sure they will have an opportunity to be successful if they do not get the stone.

The new adventure takes the to Lullaby Lake. The three friends quickly learn that things are definitely different at the lake. There are some feisty fairy people that live under the water, that were charged with the sole responsibility to keep all evil and bad away from the stone that they have.

Will they give the three friends the other piece of the stone? Will they be able to defeat Thorne? Only time and some more reading will tell.

I think this is a great series and that any children will enjoy adding it to the library. I think that it is a fast paced, easy to comprehend series. The only downfall is that I think in order to follow the story line that it is essential to begin the series at the beginning.… (plus d'informations)
