Celtic Woman

I have loved Celtic Woman since a friend introduced me to their music. I expected I would love this recording and was not disappointed. There were some new songs for my Celtic Woman collection. These included My Heart Will Go On, Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears, For the Love of a Princess, Time to Say Goodbye, A Time for Us, Across the World, and Once in Royal David's City. Of those, I particularly liked Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears and A Time for Us (one of my favorite songs of all time). Old favorites include Dúlaman, Amazing Grace, and O, America!

What I like about the group is the harmony of their voices and the lovely arrangements. One of their CDs can brighten my day when it is gloomy outside. I also like Christmas music, so getting three Christmas songs, one of them new, was a nice bonus.

To me, there were enough new songs that the collection was worth it. If you wanted to get the collection as a download, I see little in the insert that would be so valuable as to make it essential to get the CD. I like having both the CD and the digital music via Amazon.

This CD has the same title as the live recording DVD, but it is a studio recording with most (but not all) of the songs from the concert. The ones omitted are old favorites, many of which are found on other CDs by Celtic Woman. I still love Siúil a Rún. New favorites from this recording include Skyrim Theme, I See Fire, and Like an Angel Passing through My Room.

If you like Celtic music or vocal music, I think you will like this recording. If you like Celtic Woman and do not mind that the group changes voices, then you will almost certainly like the CD.… (plus d'informations)
