I just can't recommend this book enough. The events you read about in The Long Journey of the Nez Perce stay with you. I now feel like I know the people that that were so harshly treated a hundred and forty years ago. It is sometimes hard to read - because of what they experience. But you have to see it through and you want to find out what happens. The story is also inspirational. The Nez Perce are extraordinary people who endured great suffering and hardship. In the process, they showed the world what human beings are capable of at their best. One of the soldiers later wrote, "they instructed my civilization". We should all strive to live with such pride, honor, and dignity. If you never read any western U.S. History, you must read this book!… (plus d'informations)
