Pocket-sized overview of the Pre Raphaelites. Lots of illustrations, as one would expect. Difficult to take the text seriously when it confuses the Black Sea and the Dead Sea, though I don't know if that was the author's or translator's fault.

Overall, a very good introduction to the Pre-Raphaelites and their work. The book has lots of full-color pictures, which helps the reader to understand the artwork. Based on the title alone, I expected a lengthy academic work on the history of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, instead of a short introduction. Still, I enjoyed this book and learned quite a bit about British art during this period.
