This one tried, but doesn't quite make the grade. I suspect it didn't get a once-over by a good copy-writer. I marked a lot of questionable phrases and words. I may update this review with a sampling of them. Other mistakes exist, such as a character making a point of describing a gun as definitely not being a revolver (due to not having one of those "round revolving thingies" or something like that) that just a page later and for the rest of the book is referred to as a revolver.

Bigger problems I had with the characters, more specifically their dialogue and motivations. These issues become even more apparent at the start of the action in the second part. Characters' actions and words would often feel slightly off, given the situation they are in at the time.

I give it some points for trying. The author clearly loves stories and writing and the story is a mix of Deliverance and the Ctulhu mythos. Although it doesn't manage to keep an entirely consistent tone throughout. I also finished it, but had to force myself through some incongruent sections. In the end, despite the author's hopes, it didn't do more than keep myself turning pages. However, maybe sometimes that's enough...

I honestly couldn't finish this book. It seems like it would be an interesting story...just a little too "out there" for me. I am a fan of paranormal, but this was too weird for my taste.

Interesting premise. Almost the entire population of Cincinnati Ohio turns into lycanthropes - the 4 who appear to be immune to whatever has caused this change have to survive the 3 nights of the full moon.

Not crazy about the author's style of writing or storytelling but the story itself was good.

This book was an easy-to-read paranormal horror that I enjoyed greatly. The first two thirds of the book were great; lots of suspense and a good build, a bit distasteful in places. The final third of the book I felt got a little silly but still enjoyable, and the descriptive writing really lets the reader imagine what's going on.

A great B-movie level horror read.
