I downloaded Find Me I’m Yours because one of the big BookTubers talked about it in 2014. Yes, it is an interactive book that takes you to sites that Mags narrates about while going on a treasure hunt to find her Mr. Right.
Because I didn’t read as soon as I downloaded the e-book, all the sites showed error messages. Even though I couldn’t enter the sites, I could understand the plotline because it was also written.
If you are not fond of cheating, this book has a little bit of that, so you decide to pick up the book.
The idea of an interactive book is a fascinating one, but the truth is it works pretty well in e-readers if all the sites work as they are supposed to.
An entertaining chick-lit.

the last third of this definitely improved dramatically for me. the rest was fine, okay, entertaining enough. it could be the heavy reliance on pop culture, which i have no reference point for at all, that made me not care much about most of the essays in the book. that said, her life experiences are pretty incredible. but the last part of the book was both more relatable and more interesting to me, and the writing felt more authentic, but maybe that is projection since i liked those essays better. i do like it when a book ends up unexpectedly featuring lgbtq people, that's always a nice surprise.… (plus d'informations)

Memoir of a life NOT according to plan. From age 8 to mid-40s, Hilary tries on multiple personae in an effort to feel that "it's enough." Finally discovering she, herself, is more than enough.

A funny, quick read. I loved reading about her and her time with Carly Simon and the weeks upon weeks she spent trying to meet Carole King. The chapter about the Cotillion is quite funny as well. She definitely marched to the beat of her own drum and that is an admirable quality. The beginning of each chapter also has a time line of events that took place for that particular year. This is an interesting touch. A quick read, would be great for a day at the beach because it doesn't require a lot of thinking. Definitely a memoir worth reading if you like the quirkier side of life.… (plus d'informations)
