Mara Calton, CN is an expert in micronutrients and dietary supplement science. She is a fellow of the American Association of Integrative Medicine (AAIM), board certified in Integrative Health (BCIH), is on the American Board of Integrated Health (ABIH) and holds a Diploma in Comprehensive afficher plus Nutrition from Huntington College of Health Sciences. She and her husband, Jayson Calton Ph.D, run Calton Nutrition and The Calton Institute of Lifestyle Medicine in Florida. They are the authors of Naked Calories, and Rich Food, Poor Food and write a column on nutrition for First for Women magazine. Throughout my effort to lose weight and lead a healthier lifestyle I've known that many nutrients were essential in my efforts. I took a multi vitamin and various other vitamins and minerals and saw some good results. But the work the the Colton's put into this book if effective could be the secret I've been looking for. I've always had to find in various works what to take and what not to take, but they've put it all into one easy to read book that will have you eager to read through it and immediately proceed to finding new richer foods and better vitamins to enhance your diet.

Since I've just started this I can't say it works as they say. Hopefully soon I can update this book to a 5 star review as I have the feeling I may since everything I read coincided with what I knew and helped clarify some information that I had a good feeling for.

But if anything one should get this book BEFORE even considering one of the popular diets out there. You'll at least look at each diet in a different light and know better questions to ask about it to see if it is the right one for you.
