'Ares Purpose' was written for a picture prompt in the M/M Romance Group's Love Has No Boundaries event.

Zack and Ares are the two main characters. These are supposed to be big tough guys, but I didn't get that feeling from the speech patterns or the way the story was written. It all fell a bit flat for me.

Told from Ares' pov, the story starts out in a bar fight that leads to Zack taking care of Ares at home. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't understand the point of the story. Maybe because it felt like this was an excerpt from a story rather than the story itself.

Wish I could rate this higher, but I can only give this 2 stars

As one of the group who worked on editing and proofing these stories and helped put the anthologies together I might be considered biased, but these anthologies are definitely worthy of the 5 star rating.

Oh, that was lovely! There definitely need to be more horse-shifter stories, if they are as good as this one. I loved the touches of humour!

Not much to say...The story was short and pointless. Didn't pull me in.
