This historical romance was enjoyable to read. The time warp aspect in the beginning of the story was the means for the protagonist, Maggie, to get into the period of Virginia 1621. While the method of the bloodstone time travel was a bit paranormal or sci-fi 'ish, the majority of the story read more like an historical romance. Maggie is found and protected by the local Native American tribe. Of course, she falls into a deep relationship with Winn, her rescuer. This turns out to be more than the typical love affair. It was refreshing to read about that period from the Tribe's aspect. I believe the author did a great job of working through the research to come to a true understanding of the culture, and write about it in depth. The story is suspenseful with many plot surprises, as Maggie and Winn try to understand each other, the differences in their cultures, as they face dangers thrust upon them. The sense of family, belonging and relationship, are topics explored as this young woman grows and becomes an emotionally stronger person. I am looking forward to reading book two. This first book left many avenues the bloodstone trail could continue, and I am very curious what will happen next. Excellent story.… (plus d'informations)

WOW!

unlike any other time travel series I've ever read! I loved how the book wove native Americans and time traveling Norse clans at a penultimate time in history. 1600 America's when women were most definitely seen and not heard. how a woman from our time would not only survive being suddenly dropped into this new timeline, but f a 'll in love with an 'indian'. In that time a woman falling for a savage was not done. then for her to gain the knowledge of who/what she truly is....her entire world gets upended more than once....yet she finds her true home and her true heart. there's love, intrigue, betrayal, salvation, brotherhood and above all family. I originally read book 1, then got the others via this bundle....I can't wait for book 4 to finally be released...it looks like Winn will finally realise just how different her life in the future was....I wonder if he may eat a little crow at that point. there's a great deal of love in many forms in these books. they are so 'll great reads with lots of adventure. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fun and exciting read.… (plus d'informations)
