Petite Breaux

I like the honesty of the book and its author. Everything you're going to read about is right on the cover page, sums it up well. Though I could, directly and indirectly, relate to Petite's life struggles I couldn't emotionally connect to her words. Plainly written, the book is a good quick read.

There are a lot of dysfunctional families around. I think this story would have read better if told as a fiction with make believe characters. Characters that make the reader feel empathy. This story, while heartbreaking, didn't have the emotional pull necessary.

A fun story with lots of different characters. This story takes you back to childhood. Or to the childhood it would have been good having. Interesting creatures and interesting story.

Of course i would give myself five starts, I believe my book is a very good read. Trying to reach out to those of domestic violence abuse of any form to let you know that you are worth more and that you can move forward. We have to break the silence.
