This is a pleasant easy read. The layout is great, it’s broken up into sections which makes it easy to pick up whenever you have a free moment. I think overall it is a great book on moderation, being intentional and learning a little about Swedish culture along the way. It was nothing groundbreaking but I think it has some great ideas for someone outside of Sweden to try and implement or just learn a new perspective. This book is a grab-bag of lifestyle tips from someone who has lived in Sweden for several years. It's a pretty little book, but it doesn't go too deep. It feels a bit like paging through a magazine. There are lots of boxes and lists about how to bring nature inside your home, how to manage your time, how to interact with your family, how to reduce your carbon footprint, etc. A lot of it is, honestly, common sense stuff about living with moderation and giving thought to your home and schedule instead of just mindlessly consuming.
I didn't think it was a life-changing book or anything, but just paging through the clean, bright pages that talk about simplicity and contentment and coziness made for a happy couple of hours.… (plus d'informations)
