For kids? This is intended for kids? I actually could have seen myself watching and loving this as a kid. It's moody and atmospheric and we get character growth in both of our main characters. I even loved the way the relationship between the teacher and the mother was so complex. Also, don't ever reverse google search image one of those rock with eye creatures because it leads to the most terrifying images google can come up with.
