Henry the Fox is looking for his lost idea, and Eleanor the Bear is helping him. They search everywhere, but "while the found lots of things, they did not find what Henry was looking for." At last, as they head home in the dark, fireflies come out, and one lands on Henry's head. Henry rushes home to get his bright idea - still unnamed - down on paper, accompanied by a firefly friend.

On first reading, the ending seems a bit abrupt, but it's enjoyable to re-read, the animals are kind and helpful to each other, and the theme of encouraging curiosity and invention is a good one.… (plus d'informations)

Magnolia the Bunny is presenting her map at the monthly soiree, but there's one spot left to fill in before tonight. Her forest friends help her reach the top of the mountain, from which she can see all the places she's already mapped.

This is the perfect story to spark children imagination. This book goes through the adventures that can come from getting one bright idea, and it does so in such an engaging way - not only through the words, but also the illustrations. This book is also part of the Walnut Animal Society series.
