Christina Noble suffered terribly during her childhood in the slums of Ireland and as later as a wife and mother. When still quite young, she began dreaming of Vietnam, a country half a world away that she knew nothing about. At the age of 44 she was finally able to follow her dream, journeying to Vietnam in 1989. There she encountered the horrifying poverty and loss of innocence of thousands of street children.
