Richard Bradley is one of the world's leading prehistorians and Emeritus Professor at the University of Reading. His research interests have a focus on the Neolithic and Bronze Age of Britain and north-west Europe. An English academic work that needs to be unpacked to be understood and questionable if it's worth the time and effort.

The work by Bradley is full of wonderful information regarding the Prehistoric peoples in Britain and Ireland. He also does a nice job tying in the differences between the two cultures, as well as with the rest of continental Europe. The book has a plethora of illustrations of the material. However, I felt that the work was too "all over the place." There was more than one occasion where I had to re-read parts just to get a basic understanding. The work, itself, is good, but it requires knowing the fundamentals of archaeology first--otherwise, confusion will set in.… (plus d'informations)
