Work! Consume! Die! : you are bored. this is the… par Frankie Boyle
You know what you're going to get and he doesn't disappoint. A few one-liners in here remind you just how good Frankie Boyle can be at his best. The few pages on Osama Bin Laden has a dozen of them. But overall, reading this book is never going to be a life affirming experience.
He seems like a really nice and clever guy but this book is just flat out boring.
Frankie Boyle is unquestionably a very funny man, perhaps even one of the funniest around. Sadly, his sense of humour loses something in translation to the written word (and in my case, audio) and "My Shit Life So Far" is only occasionally humorous.
Boyle relates his youth and some of the shenanigans of his university life, which, of course, included the times he secretly urinated in his room mates beer (I wonder if said former room mate read this book and realised he had been drinking essence of Boyle?) and his rise to fame via a number of bad television shows.
If you can't see Boyle live then "My Shit Life So Far" may prove to be a good time waster.… (plus d'informations)
