Alandra's Lilacs is told through the lens of a mothers journey through life and relationship between her and her deaf daughter. The journey takes place throughout Alandra's life. Her and her mother have to adapt to divorce, remarriage, moving and switching specialty schools, and learning the best ways of communication.
