I read this book many times. It's "What Color is Your Parachute?" for those of us who see it as "life" instead of as a "career". I have given away five copies. Includes many exercises to encourage new ways to think about jobs, making money, and what to do in general.

It's not a bad manual on how to determine what your personal likes and dislikes are.
As far as an aide to FINDING and landing that job that will make you happy...
these people really need to learn it is no longer 1950, it is no longer a buyer's market but a sellers and has been for a VERY LONG time. With no end in sight.
