I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did. The author made the characters very engaging and it was easy for me to care about them. I liked how much Maggie helped people in her town and how she'd used her earlier fear of not having enough food in a good way by working at Angelo's and participating in the summer lunch program etc.

It was also nice to see Neil's heart melting and him returning to the involvement with others that he'd had before his wife died. And also great to see Oliver trust adults again (though we never do find out why he decided to trust Neil in the first place).… (plus d'informations)

What do you do when your whole life has been built on the principle of forgiveness, but you now find it impossible to grant it? Forgiveness can be difficult for many people, and it's certainly a dilemma for Caleb Hochstedler! I've grown to love the many characters who've been a part of the four books in the Johns Mill Romance series, but Caleb may have just become my favorite. Author Lauren Blount has created a multi-dimensional man that I couldn't help admiring and placed him in a story filled with a roller-coaster ride of emotions and conflicts.

Home from the Storm is heartbreaking and heartwarming, and it may leave you searching your own heart. Would you be as determined as Caleb, and would you be able to truly forgive? Could you return to your faith after experiencing so much hurt? I urge you to grab a copy of this book, but I suggest that you read the first three books first. Home from the Storm can be considered a standalone but knowing Caleb's history will make it even more powerful, and Blount also offers reunions with other Hochstedler family members. I highly recommend this book!!

I received a copy of this book from the author. There was no obligation for a positive review.

My Review of A Rancher To Trust by Laurel Blount: I usually stay away from Love Inspired books but I saw the tour for this one and signed up, it is a cute book, has enjoyable characters that are life-like. My copy did go missing for a while when my baby brother found it and carried it around saying, "Baby, baby!" In a soft loving tone, he loved looking at the cover, which I agree is quite cute.
Rating: 3 stars.
Recommendation: 17/19 up due to past mistakes.
Verse: Psalm 68:5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. (King James Version.)
Disclaimer: I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
