I was expecting to enjoy this, as it is by an established writer and about my home county. Unfortunately the quality of the writing and the plot are poor. Nothing is left to the imagination - maybe that is what other reviewers enjoyed. The descriptions of the places are quite good and clearly intended for people to follow and check.

Broadlands is the first book I have read by David Blake. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have already bought the next 3 books in the series. The story flowed and kept me engrossed. I liked the characters and think they will become like friends.

Really enjoyed book 2 St Benet's in the DI Tanner and DC Evans series. Love their interaction with each other. Great story and it keeps you engrossed from beginning to end.

Loved this book as much if not more than the 2 previous ones. The characters are developing really well. On to Three Rivers, book 4.
