Too simple in my opinion... too similar to original GOF Design patterns, without adding more than some syntactic construction. Most examples are too flat and don't teach the purpose and the key point of pattern. If you already know GOF Design patterns, you could live without this book, if you do not already know them, please read original GOF work or Head First series.

I'm surprised that people are actually allowed to be computer programmers without having to read Gamma (et al.)'s book on design patterns. Shocked even! It should be required reading for any software development-related profession.

And because of that, I was pleased to discover a design patterns book for C# (AKA, one of the best and most powerful OO languages out there). The joy of C# and design patterns, is it seems that C# was MADE for such patterns. And as such, the complete code for the examples presented were able to be included in the book!

This book is ideal if you're a C# hacker and want to make your code more robust and powerful, and able to play well with other code. It's also a good book if you're sick of rewriting the same code over and over again (Like I always say: Never repeat yourself؟).

Though the book is written by someone who's clearly a Mac user, the book is helpful to developers regardless of their operating system.

Recommended for people who have worked through Learning C# 3.0 and Programming C# 3.0 (and maybe even the C# 3.0 Cookbook).
