4/5 I really liked it.
A young mage in mage school has problems to cast spells and is bullied by the star student.
At the great choosing a mage takes him as apprentice.
He finds friends in other outcasts and has his big prove in the labyrinth...
Pretty straight forward story. but what can i say - I LOVE mage school books.
the MC is a bit to whiny but he evolves and his friends are cool as well as the described magic system. Hope the series stays this good.

A wonderful sequel. We follow the three mage outcast apprentieces through a travel to a dragon ruled country. Expect political intrigues, the first tries in romance and of course a lot of interesting magic mixed with sandstorms, dragons and the fabulous folk of sandsailors.
Recommended!

The series keeps giving. A lot more politics, some mystery game and more mage school stuff. Antoher dip into the labyrinth and it is wonderful how the MC groups keeps being teenager with all the self esteem problems and love interests and uncertainies and stuff.

Well woven story!

Even though the cast of the book is young, the first two books did not feel like a YA book. This one defintely DID feel like one(which I personally don't like). Also the story was stupid imo. SPOILERS: The students needed to help find the traitor, Hugh who is in the most danger in this book, DID not or hardly did any investigation(tbh only Sabea did some actually researching). I get that Hugh is young and having a gf is new but not focusing on researching or his studies for a month because his gf is arriving in a month, is stupid(this happens multiple time, like yes get excited but maybe also focus on researching on the traitor and the potential death you might be facing). At the end we find out that the students were assiged the task to search for the traitor to keep the traitor and the demon busy. This is such a weak ass reason, like why would the traitor and the demon think that the students are the only ones searching for them. Would make more sense that the traitor/demon would not focus on them since they are mere students. Last point, they made Talia way to OP. Allot of the strong mages(people in the Council) were there fighting the traitor, mutliple of them and they couldn't best her(well they almost did if Bakori hadnt arrived but still it would have taken several mages selected because they were powerfull enough to saveguard that thing at the council room). Then here comes Talia who just kills her easily.… (plus d'informations)
