The basic story is a college aged girl who has an unusual appearance (due to multiple piercings in her ear and blonde hair) who is a renowned computer hacker with the latest laptop (it even has a 28.8 baud modem!) has had her laptop stolen. She seeks out the assistance of the Home School Detectives, Josh and Emily, to help her recover it. Josh is disinterested, but Emily gets involved. Things get interesting when Emily is found on the ground and bleeding with no knowledge of who hit her and her ex-boyfriend phones to express his regret over leaving her a couple weeks back.
