This was an excellent book and part of a series. I wrote a more in depth review on my blog at http://31daysearlyirise.com. I could read this series more than once, after having immersed myself in the world of young Guiamo as he grows into his rightful place, learns his gifts and talents, and we find out so much more about him and the people of his land. Masterful writing.

The fourth instalment in an excellent series which I totally enjoyed, praise to the author.

The author springs yet more surprises and again shows expert research and intense historic knowledge.

Our hero is now facing even more challenges, both from the creatures that want to destroy him and the jealousy from the Druids which could ultimately damage his reputation.

The real challenge for him is when he finds 4 volumes of ancient writing and in his quest to decipher them he realises that the teachings could have a massive impact on the life's of everyone and then discovers the treasures of Cichol.

The author brings all the previous books together in an excellent manner, the story is not as exciting as the last three but is much more philosophic especially when Guiamo is transcribing the lost volumes and gives us a different view point to Genesis from the bible.

The writer is always making the reader believe they are along side the characters with his descriptive writing style and enjoyable mythical creatures and the challenges from the gods.

A superb series of books which will appeal to anyone who has an interest in mythology with a lot of twists and turns which add flavour and substance.

I always enjoy novels when an author has taken care and really believes in what he is writing about and this shines through in an abundance in all of his stories.

This series of books will enchant and enthral readers across all ages and make excellent reading for a bedtime story to create magical dreams.

The third book in an excellent series and again the authors understanding and research into the myths and legends add excitement and interest to the story.

Having destroyed the Fomori in England, to eradicate them fully and stop them coming back, Morlanos has to cross the sea to Ireland. Taking with him the Cruthin people to establish their own settlements.

In pursuit of this venture he comes across even more dangerous creatures and has to call upon help from the gods.

The writer totally enthrals and absorbs the reader into a time gone by and again you feel you are there fighting and wanting to warn Morlanos of the danger he is facing.

Anyone who is interested in legends and has an vivid imagination and believes strange creatures and magic (or the belief that wizards/witches existed) governed the thoughts of the people and their lifestyles will find this an excellent read.

The fable is easily followed and the hidden messages you can pick up from the gods and their beliefs is one for the peruser to interpret for themselves.

The references at the end of the book to the language used is excellent and again shows the amount of time and care the writer has taken in producing another great book and can be read by all ages.

The second installment of The Chronicles of Guiamo Durmius Stolo. At the end of the fist episode our hero has had some basic training but has become increasingly restless and in order to further his quest he signs up to join Caesars army. His first task is to sail to Britain but on landing Caesars army is unsuccessful and has to abandon his invasion attempt leaving behind Guiamo.

The author takes us on a page turning adventure with excellent myths and legends thrown in. The descriptions and situations are expertly described and you feel is if you are right there fighting and combating the evil spirits, carrying his secret weapons and whispering the spells in order from him to achieve greatness and triumph.

This story holds a lot of research and historical facts and the authors knowledge really shines through which holds and captivates the reader into imagining the creatures, people and the way they live and their will to survive.

The extraordinary element is having read the first installment I didn't think the follow up was going to be as enthralling or as good but how wrong was I. I am certainly looking forward with great excitement to the third book.

If you love and I mean love a novel which can take you to a time you didn't live in and bring it to life then this story and the author is for you.

The writers style of writing is simple and with excellently references in the book to the ancient language used, the plot with mythical creatures with dark secrets will appeal to readers of all ages and especially to those of you who like to read a bedroom story to their children (but be warned you could be reading for a long time).
