A very humorous guide to planning your own funeral that is full of useful information.
Since many people are resistant to having conversations about death and funerals, this book is a good option. It hits many of the important decisions regarding someone's passing, but with a more light-hearted tone than most literature. A good place to get started.

"Look at those crazy people who are different than us. Aren't they weird?" this book seemed to say often to get a cheap laugh. While there were some parts that made me chuckle, it seemed the author placed more value on humor than information, thus making it seem that she was trying too hard. I would still recommend it, but not to anyone who has suffered a recent loss. It is not a sensitive book.
I decided to read this because it seemed like a morbid yet interesting topic but unfortunately this book did not live up to expectations (no pun intended). While I found the descriptions of different culture's burial rituals interesting what I did not like was the constant and annoying use of jokes and sarcasm by the author. I understand that this was supposed to be a lively book (yet again no pun intended) and not some dry boring book but with all this joking the book didn't feel polished but like the author was having a conversation with someone. I just didn't find it to be humorous and it felt like overkill. I wouldn't recommend this book.… (plus d'informations)
