BEST COLLECTION WE HAVE OF HIS PAINTINGS.... One of his students was a mentee of mine...
Some artists translate well into photographic plates, I don't think Kadinsky does. Having seen an exhibition of his works with their glowing colours and the sense of depth in his abstracts, I think that the art and architectural publisher Taschen has nevertheless done a very good job indeed. A beautiful book to own.
Photographs, color plates, and a readable text navigate the reader through Kandinsky's life as he matured into one of the most important artists of the twentieth century. Becks-Malorny offers all the biographical details one would need to see that Kandinsky was as passionately committed to his work as a theoretician and art educator as he was to his painting.
