I really enjoyed this book, short, fun and sexy, very entertaining. Five stars.

This book follows Eden and Swain who are highly competitive with each other. Swain loves to get under Eden's skin any way he can and Eden can't stand him because she is by the books kind of officer where Swain likes to follow his instincts. They are both great officers that go about things differently but with the same results. As they are chosen for an undercover operation they have to pretend to not only tolerate each other but to also be in love. They mix like oil and water but their attraction is intense and always there. I loved Swain and felt like he had so much going on from his past that he could have let define him but instead he tried to make the best out of it. He was funny, sweet, cocky, but lovable. Eden was sweet but buried underneath layer upon layer of walls that kept everyone away so it was hard to relate to her especially when she would give Swain such a hard time constantly it made it hard for me to like them together. Overall the suspense was light, the attraction was there, but I want to see Eden open up more and quit being so judgmental of him.… (plus d'informations)

This is the first [a:Samanthe Beck|6943520|Samanthe Beck|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1605142470p2/6943520.jpg] book I've read, I am sorry I didn't start with books 1 and two first but this ones plot sounded amazing and right up my ally.

I loved it! I was even younger than Lilah when I had my daughter so seeing the community rallying around her made me wish I had that when I was pregnant and dealing with becoming a single teen mom. While my own daughter is now a bit younger than Lilah is in this book (shes 19) I don't think I could ever act like how Rose did, even though I have the same hopes and dreams as Rose did for Lilah.

But I loved it, I loved Ford though he does make me want to slap him at times, I love that Beck brought back certain characters to help him develop as a person, I loved how Lilah grew as a person, I loved the community and I can't wait to read more of Ms Beck's books, I am buying books 1 and 2 right after I hit submit.

The ONLY regret (it's not really a regret, more like a reminder for me in the future) I have about reading this is not checking page length prior to starting the book, I'm a fast reader and so when I started this book around midnight last night I was like "oh I'll be done in an hour or two..." yeah 4 hours later and I finished this book and went to bed, 4 hours of sleep, and my dog was like "Mom let me sing you the song of my people because it's time to get up!" So I'll be tired today to say the least.
