She lived to be more than 100, and was a redoubtable woman, with many skills and a deep love for humanity. This book charts her life, full of anecdotes, quotations from letters, and memories. Well put together, a fascinating account of an amazing woman. Four and a half stars, really.

Written by children, many from developing countries where they know what it is like to be hungry, homeless or to live in a country at war. Illustrated with photos, many taken by the TEAR Fund relief agency.
