"Frustrated with her job in Boston, social worker Avery Newbridge welcomes the opportunity to reassess her life when family asks her to help manage the Star Harbor Inn. Trying to figure out her future is overwhelming enough, but she doesn't count on distraction in the form of one Theo Grayson, the gorgeous, green-eyed author who she knows is trouble from the moment he saunters into the inn."

Having not read the first book in this series, I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to follow this storyline, but that wasn't a problem at all. Avery and Theo were both likeable characters, and I found myself really rooting for them as a couple. I also liked all the side characters, the inhabitants of Star Harbor, Massachusetts. The setting was described beautifully, and the pacing of the story was done quite well.

I definitely recommend this book and look forward to reading the other books in the series.

5/5 stars.

Rendezvous in Point Reyes is full of descriptive scenic beauty. Rich with emotion and centered around a story of yearning. Stella is a person who is naturally introverted. Recent experiences have caused her self esteem to plummet, trust to become non-existent and made her more of a loner than before. For Jace it has always been Stella.
She owns his heart and doesn't even know it. If given the chance he wants to make all her dreams come true. I was given an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. The beautiful backdrop of the Napa Valley winery and the sweet love story of Jace and Stella made this book a fascinating sight to behold.… (plus d'informations)

Elisabeth Barrett has found her niche in writing stories that are well crafted, inspiring and poignant. With her latest work The Best of Me, she created two characters that had every reason to be wary and slowly built their relationship from casual acquaintances, to friends and finally to soul mates. Complicated pasts along with heartbreaking betrayals shaped these two wounded hearts but the ability to break away from the ugliness and have faith in yourself is the message of this story. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Ms. Barrett does well at tickling the funny bone. She delivers feel good romance that relies on the reader's ability to exercise both the brain and the heart in order to understand the true meaning of self reliance and the power of finding a place to belong. Anywhere You Are there proves that in order to understand where you are meant to be, a person has to search within themselves to discover who they are.
