This is a fast, paced read. It starts out strong. I did find myself engaged in the story and the characters. Although Melissa and Jake have luck on their side. They are not the best equipped to be on the run and protect themselves. There were times when I got frustrated by their actions.

I get Jake's obsession with finding any moment to take a photo but dude, you have people chasing after you wanting to k!ll you...put down the camera!

TFW you read a women's thriller that seems to be a little less heteronormative "white picket fences are the ideal that everyone aspires to" than average for the genre and it ends with "the bi character is now a stay-at-home mom who lives in the suburbs with her husband, but don't worry, you can tell she's still bi because she's insanely tempted to cheat on her husband with women and only avoids hooking up with her ex-girlfriends by refusing to see them or take their calls!"
