A very interesting tome, in many ways an update of H.R.T. Brandreth's excellent "Episcopi Vagantes and the Anglican Church" tracing the further development (some might say "explosion") of the various vagante lineages traced in Brandreth and exhaustively explored in Anson into the 1980s. Loving crafted by Alan M. Bain, himself an EV, it is nonetheless an honest and critical account of the personalities involved, and often supplements the material in Anson and Brandreth with more up-to-date information or information which they did not, in the climate of the times, care to mention. A valuable update (although necessarily horribly out-of-date if intended to serve as a directory, as was its primary purpose) and well worth adding to the library.… (plus d'informations)
