Weird book

So freaking CUTE! I loved this book. Very clever. The surprise twist at the end was delightful.

This is a nice fractured fairy tale. I enjoyed the twists and the altered character of the Cinderella-like Chickerella. She's certainly a more independent soul than the traditional character. I think kids would enjoy this. It'd be good for a fractured fairy tale discussion.

Summary: This is a different version of the well known Cinderella Story, but instead of humans each characters is a chicken and instead of losing her glass slipper Chickerella lays a glass egg and that is what the prince uses to help find his chicken princess.
