Ernest Angley was born in 1921 in Gastonia, North Carolina. At the age of seven, he claimed that a vision from God had appeared to him and revealed that he would lead many people to Christianity. After a major religious conversion had affirmed his faith, he attended the Church of God Bible Training afficher plus School in Cleveland, Tennessee. Soon after, with his wife Esther Lee "Angel" Sykes, Angley traveled throughout the South, where he built up a following that he organized into "Grace Cathedral." After the death of his wife in 1970, Angley began his ministry on television. The Ernest Angley Television Hour included musical performances and moving sermons. Angley gradually expanded his following and captivated thousands who were moved by his dramatic exorcisms and healing. Angley has written several inspirational books, including Faith in God Heals the Sick and Miracles Are Real-I Got One. (Bowker Author Biography) afficher moins

I read this book when I was in fifth grade, at the height of the "rapture fever" of the late Seventies, and it terrified me.
