A little dated by now, but it still remains an excellent survey in English of all the wine producing regions in Italy (up to 1980).

A little gem of a book from 15 years ago. It is filled with information, but with all things mutable, it is hard to know what is now valid and how the encouragement of EU agribusiness has changed food production in Italy. Brings back plenty of nostalgia for the time I lived there rather poor and hungry--JFL.
