I've been wanting to expand my manga library, so I grabbed this book! The premise sounded sweet, the cover was cute, and it's romance. It seemed right up my alley way.

Here are my notes:

1. The main character who is 16 thinks it's natural a boy wouldn't like her because she's ugly. Self-esteem girl! Don't think like that! I hope that's just a poor translation error...

2. She does have stalker-like behaviour though. But at 16, I guess you'd admire their social media and follow them around town? I sure didn't have time for that...

3. Yamada is a jerk for blasting it over social media. Calling her a "Fuggo"? Can we just toss him in the trash now? Thanks. Girl, with that comment alone you shouldn't like him anymore. He's obvious not worth anybody's time. My goodness.

4. Popular dude suggests him and our lead play "House" and have unrequited one sided feelings... This is so weird.

5. I do like how respectful this dude can be though. "I respect you for that." I like it.

6. A lot of the illustrations are super cute, not gonna lie. I just think the relationship is kind of weird?

7. Fake relationships have never been my vibe, but I do want to continue reading this series. I want to see how this develops... I hope they end up together. It's quite the guilty pleasure for me.

Overall, I'm super intrigued! I've never been into the fake relationship trope before, but I did like it. Despite this book's flaws (self-esteem girl! Get some!), I think it's a pretty good manga to slip away from reality into.

Three out of five stars.

Thank you to NetGlaley and Kodansha for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
